RISK is opening fresh new doors for aliveness, prosperity, and getting what you want.  It is not about engaging in real danger.  It is about “facing up and facing down” the imagined danger of embracing new challenges.

This is a lesson about living full out.  It is about stepping out of your comfort zone and into your “learning zone”, so that life is more vibrant and alive.

Life can get turned upside down in an instant, and can become overwhelming, discouraging, and lead to resignation.  It would be more convenient to stay put and take the conservative road.  We become risk adverse, and life becomes boring.  We settle and lose inspiration and zeal.

Taking appropriate and measured risks that fit the situation, as a regular practice, can help us reach our goals and live more fulfilled lives.  Before you know it, you will find yourself living your vision and making a greater impact in others’ lives as well.

As Ralph Waldo Emerson encourages, “Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail…”

People find themselves tangled in the matrix of Fear and Safety, and because they do not know how to get out and do not know the questions to ask themselves to lead them out, they settle there with little hope of an exuberant future.

What are you holding on to just because it’s safe? What are you not willing to face or embrace? Why not? What do you fear will happen?  What is a starting step you could take to bring you face to face to your imagined fear of loss and to the edge of freedom?  What will it take to step back into a mood of risk and hope?

Both Fear and Risk are states of mind as much as they are real situational phenomena. While fear resides in a mental framework of threat and is focused on survival; Risk exists in a mindset of hope and possibility and is centered on thriving.

Where in this matrix do you find yourself most often?

Thrive/Threat or Risk/Reward Matrix

                 (Careless) | “Thrive”

           Fear ———–  | ———– Hope

                 ” Survive” | (Careful)

Teddy Roosevelt said, “The person who succeeds is not the one who holds back, fearing failure, nor the one who never fails… but rather the one who moves on in spite of failure.  Far better to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure, than to take rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much because they live in the grey twilight that knows not victory or defeat”.

In this webinar we will examine three often-used safety strategies that can lead to survival but can also lead to being stuck. And we will analyze a Risk-Reward matrix that will allow you to thrive instead of merely survive in life.

Anything that you dream you can or want to do, begin it rather than sit on it.

Boldness has genius and power.  Make it a habit of going for the gold.  In the words of Chin Ning Chu, from her book, Thick Face, Black Heart,

“Acquire the courage to believe in yourself.  Many of the things that you have been taught were at one time the radical ideas of individuals who had the courage to believe what their own hearts and minds told them was true, rather than accept the common beliefs of their day.”

In Heroes Quest, we engage in these hot topics and then facilitate experiential exercises and activities that empower people to step beyond their self-built limitations to create phenomenal results and inspired living.

We learn new ways of letting go of sacred cows, preconditions, whatever familiarities we tightly hold on to so new possibilities can emerge.  Being vulnerable to our deeper yearnings, we step into the space of risk, where new possibilities always seem to lie.

Come on the webinar with us on Tuesday, the 5th of February and find out more about how you can apply these far-reaching thoughts into your life right away to open up new and exciting doors.  We start with Dr. Ray Blanchard at 7:00 pm Central time, and you may register at www.TheHeroesCircle.com or at tinyurl.com/Heroes-Risk.
